The programme seeks to unleash socio-economic development potential of the Eastern Cape by addressing historical ne-glect of rural areas, inequitable access to basic services, improved coordination and integration of service delivery across government and foster sustainable partnerships.
- Development Planning and monitoring: To initiate, plan and monitor development in specific rural areas (CRDP sites) across the three spheres of government in order to address needs that have been identified.
- Social Facilitation: To engage communities on priorities and to institutionalise and support comunity organisational structures (NGOs etc.).
